As a trained, professional firefighter, Mark has always believed that “he was a vessel of God put on this earth to serve the people.” In an effort of graciously accepting his role as a servant and as a volunteer at local schools, Mark wanted to have a more profound impact on the youth in his community. In 1996, God revealed a vision that would allow him to work with and positively influence the youth. That vision, Miles Photography Studio, became a reality in 2000. With no professional training, a desire to be a business owner, and a God-directed path, Mark and Letecia stepped out on faith and have never looked back. In a mere five years, Mark became one of the most sought out photographers in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. His down-to-earth personality and unique style of bringing out the photogenic side of any subject have allowed him to capture one-of-a-kind images that continue to impress his clients. Those one-of-a-kind images have also afforded him the opportunity to travel to some of the most exquisite places within the United States and to watch God’s vision unfold. The statement has been made that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and that can truly be said about Mr. Mark Miles. When he looks into the camera, spectacular things happen. He not only sees the subject in its physical state, but he has the ability to see beyond the physical and bring forth the true essence of a person. He’s simply phenomenal at doing that!

Mark has been gifted with an awesome self taught gift of photography. His first 35mm camera was given to him by his wife Letecia when they were dating, and he’s been capturing unforgettable moments every since. Mark and Letecia stepped out on faith and Miles Photography was born. Not having any formal training but a desire to learn photography Mark attended a Louisiana State University summer course and enrolled in New York Photography courses as well. Being a more hands on person, God allowed a wonderful mentor to enter Mark’s life, and great things began to happen and Miles Photography Studio was opened in 2000.

Mr. Mark Miles has been blessed with a wonderful gift to capture the inner beauty of his subjects, without them even knowing it was happening.
